The end of summer traditionally signals the beginning of the all out campaign push. However, this year is different! Our candidates have been working hard walking their districts and knocking on doors for some time already. I felt it was important for you to know how hard they are working because I believe it will inspire others to work along with them to succeed on Election Day.
One important reason to keep working hard is that our candidates are all trying to obtain other lines on the ballot. Some are facing primaries on other lines. Steve Flotteron and Trish Bergin have earned the endorsements of the Republican and Conservative parties. Now they are going one step further to secure the Independence Party nomination by winning the primary for that party's endorsement on September 15, 2009. Steve and Trish are up against a career politico looking to further his already bloated benefits package, and his running mate, a traitor who used our party for many years and now challenges our Republican candidates. Our Republican candidates have already outworked these two politicians, and will continue to do so right up until victory on Primary Day. Our legislative candidates, Tom Barraga (11th LD), Tom Cilmi (10th LD), and Matt Silecchia (8th LD), are also seeking other parties' lines in an effort to bring home victory. Incumbent Tom Barraga, the choice of Republicans and Conservatives, faces a primary for the Independence Party and Working Families lines. Tom and Matt are working hard collecting signatures to run on the newly formed "Tea Party" line. The Tea Party line is actually being secured by all our candidates, including our judges, Judge Behar, Judge Filiberto and Judge Lotto. The judges are looking very strong to win primaries on the Conservative, Independence and Working Families lines.
As you can see, many other parties share our confidence in our Republican candidates. The Tea Party line promises to give voters the opportunity to vote for our candidates and for traditional conservative values. The Tea Party phenomenon has sprung up nationwide in opposition to big government intrusion into our lives and bloated stimulus spending-basic ideologies also shared by our candidates. Please show your support for these ideas, and our candidates by volunteering to help collect signatures, and help campaign alongside our great slate of candidates.
Sincerely,
